A recognized Brazilian commercial heat treater – Tecnovacum, is just another customer from South America that bought their equipment from SECO/WARWICK. The vacuum furnace that was supplied is a Vector® – one of the Group’s flagship products.
For the first time in the history of the SECO/WARWICK Group, the order was executed in a 50/50 cooperation system – Tecnovacum’s financing plan with an Industry Development Bank stipulated that at least 50% of the equipment production would be in Brazil with Combustol Fornos Ind Com. Ltda, who was the partner for this project.
Vacuum furnaces with subsidy
The Vector vacuum furnace is the first product supplied by SECO/WARWICK to Tecnovacum. To implement the government subsidy program, the equipment must have 50% of the production in the territory of Brazil. The furnace was developed in close cooperation with the Brazilian partner – COMBUSTOL FORNOS IND COM LTDA.
“This is an exceptional situation, the first one, but certainly not the last. Under our supervision and in close cooperation, the Brazilian partner made the casing and the control cabinet in Brazil, and the company was also responsible for the equipment assembly and start-up. We have contributed our knowledge, experience and the entire furnace internal fittings and components to the project. Owing to this cooperation, which is consistent with the government program, the clients from Brazil could benefit from more favorable financial conditions. We are glad that we have a partner who is not only able to carry out the assembly, start-up and service of our equipment on site, but also build the entire vacuum furnace in cooperation with us ” – says Maciej Korecki, Vice-President of the Vacuum Segment of the SECO/WARWICK Group. “The Vector is our flagship product which has been enjoying for many years, a huge interest by commercial heat treaters worldwide. Vector is already operating in 70 countries, among them, in Brazil. Where lies the secret of success? In speed, good cooperation and equipment versatility offering a wide range of customization options depending on specific needs” – adds M. Korecki.
For six years now, SECO/WARWICK has been working with the Combustol company on the South American market in terms of sales, supplies and start-ups of furnaces in Brazil.
Vector – a leader amongst vacuum furnaces
The Vector vacuum furnace will solve the Tecnovacum problem with hardening larger elements, as the furnace uses a large working area. This will affect the economics of processes (energy savings and increased capacity of the graphite chamber) as well as process cleanliness and speed (at a good medium vacuum).

Commercial heat treaters are the major target group for SECO/WARWICK solutions. They deal on a daily basis with the issue of huge process spans and a wide assortment of materials and technologies.
