What is the scope of special production activities?

The SECO/WARWICK Special Production Department covers a wide range of activities, including the production of various shapes of steel structures, housings (e.g. vacuum furnaces and CAB) and the production of pressure and non-pressure tanks for the American, Korean, Chinese, Indian and European markets.

We have over 30 years of experience in the production of tanks and welded structures, which allows us to implement the most demanding projects, and thanks to advanced technology and experience, we can deliver the highest quality products that meet all standards and customer expectations.

What is special production at SECO/WARWICK?

The SECO/WARWICK Special Production Department deals with the production of vacuum furnace housings, buffer tanks, angle valve housings and gas installations. The production process begins with burning appropriate sheet metal formats and rolling. The next stage is welding the bottoms, main flanges and nozzles. Ready-welded pressure housings (tanks) are prepared for water resistance (pressure) tests.

What machinery does SECO/WARWICK have to perform these services?

SECO/WARWICK has an advanced machinery park which allows for the implementation of complex metalworking services: light and heavy machining, milling, sheet metal burning, sheet metal rolling, or abrasive blasting (sandblasting). Our equipment includes one of the largest CNC-controlled carousel lathes in Poland, which allows for precise machining of complex metal shapes. We also have a plasma cutter with a 3D head, which allows for precise cutting with edge beveling. Our four-roll hydraulic sheet metal roll-up machine ensures high precision in sheet metal rolling. In addition, our department has two automated welding stations for submerged arc welding. Approved welding technologies and many years of practice allow us to weld carbon, austenitic and heat-resistant steels.

What is the spatial area and crane capacity in the production hall?

There are 4 high-quality overhead cranes with chain hoists with a maximum lifting capacity of 8 tons – 20 tons. The production halls provide a working area of 5,000 m2 and a working height of 6 meters.

What are the resources (human and processing) at SECO/WARWICK special production?

We have 2 welders with IWE qualifications and our own technology department with 3 technologists. In addition, special production is handled by 18 production employees and 8 machine operators.

Do you have your own Quality Control Department

At SECO/WARWICK, quality control cooperates in the area of special production. Special production quality control is divided into stages depending on the given unit’s production advancement:

  • delivery control – checking the parameters of purchased materials necessary for the equipment production before acceptance into the warehouse, e.g. bottoms, forgings, sheets,
  • inter-operational control – control of selected parameters during production, e.g. control of the stub pipe position before welding, checking flanges after machining before assembly, NDT tests,
  • final inspection of the finished component, which includes, e.g. dimensional check, vacuum tightness tests and pressure test depending on requirements.

To perform all these control operations, the Quality Control Department is equipped with the necessary measurement tools, including: measuring arm, 3D optical tracker, helium detectors, NDT equipment (VT, PT, MT, UT), hydraulic test stand. We have authorizations for non-destructive testing in the following methods: visual, penetrant, magnetic-powder and ultrasonic.

What types of projects and manufactured products can be seen?

SECO/WARWICK, a world-class manufacturer of industrial furnaces for leading companies in the aviation, automotive and energy industries, has extensive experience in designing, building and fully assembling very complex solutions, which can be so large that they must be assembled directly at the customer’s premises. For example, CAB lines can be 100 meters long, and vacuum furnaces can be over 15 meters long.
To create such advanced solutions, we build heating chambers, flanges, heating tunnels, furnace and engine housings in-house.
