SECO/WARWICK will deliver a custom-made VAB furnace for vacuum aluminum brazing. The VAB line will be utilized by the leader in heat and energy management to handle the production of approximately 2 million complex parts per year. The system will be installed in the Partner’s factory in the Czech Republic.
Custom made — furnaces for specific needs
This solution has been specially designed to meet the unique requirements for brazing aluminum heat exchangers, especially important in automotive industry, as it allows users to improve product quality and production efficiency thanks to modern vacuum technologies.
“This is a completely non-standard design characterized by a very high degree of automation. SECO/WARWICK is known for its open approach to non-standard projects in the metal heat treatment world. Unique furnaces for metal heat treatment are always a production challenge. However, our basic solutions are designed in such a way that we can modify them and adapt them to the specific Partner’s needs. In this way, we create furnaces which literally have no equivalent on the market and are tailored like the best suit” — said Maciej Korecki, Vice President of the Vacuum Furnaces Segment in the SECO/WARWICK Group.
The only such design in the world
Thanks to a specially designed square heating chamber, flat elements made of Inconel 600, and fifteen independent temperature control zones, the furnace guarantees the highest quality of the brazing process. The advanced high vacuum system, consisting of an advanced high vacuum pumping system, ensures cleanliness, velocity, and energy savings, which directly translates into production economics.
The solution will allow the Partner to improve the quality of the manufactured product and increase the production line’s efficiency, supporting ambitious goals related to innovation and sustainable development. The VAB vacuum furnace purchased is the Partner’s first order for this type of equipment from SECO/WARWICK. Until now, the Partner has been using SECO/WARWICK equipment from the CAB segment.
The current investment in vacuum aluminum brazing technology will allow the Partner to implement more advanced production processes. The SECO/WARWICK R&D department has been supporting the Customer in the aluminum vacuum brazing technology development for almost a year. It was due to having VAB type furnaces in the R&D department shop that allowed SECO/WARWICK to conduct the research and tests necessary for the technology development.
Thanks to this solution, our Partner will be able to meet increasingly higher customer requirements by eliminating flux inside the heat exchangers and increasing the production process efficiency and quality. This will raise the standards of cleanliness and efficiency during aluminum component processing and, at the same time, help to develop the competitiveness of their offer by adapting to the dynamically changing needs of the automotive market.
